Join Dallas’ Largest Office Party: 2019 Dallas Corporate 5K Set for May 2

‘Healthiest happy hour’ in North Texas to benefit United Way of Metropolitan Dallas

DALLAS, Texas (Feb. 26, 2019) – There’s no doubt that business is on the move in Big D – and on May 2, Metroplex corporations big and small will again lace up their sneakers for a good cause and networking on the run as the 2019 Dallas Corporate 5K benefitting United Way of Metropolitan Dallas hits the streets. Registration is now open for the event, which is open to businesses big and small, all in support of a worthy local non-profit. This is the event’s second year, after a successful 2018 inaugural kick-off.

“One of the best attributes about businesses in North Texas is that we are willing to work hard – but our best quality, by far, is a strong commitment to helping those in our community,” Paul Lambert, president of runDallas, noted. “runDallas is pleased to offer this opportunity for companies in our area to enjoy a healthy activity together that also improves the well-being and happiness of our North Texas friends and neighbors.”

From seasoned runners to first-time 5K walkers, the Dallas Corporate 5K is an event that everyone will enjoy. Festivities before and after the race will include entertainment, food from some of Dallas’ most exciting chefs and restaurants, networking opportunities and more at what has been called “Dallas’ largest office party.” Proceeds from the event will benefit United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, a local non-profit that addresses community issues in a holistic way by focusing on the building blocks of opportunity—education, income and health—that every person and community needs to thrive.

Registration is open now for the event, which will take place Thursday, May 2, 2019, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Groves, a dining and entertainment complex at the base of Dallas’ landmark Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Trinity Groves is located at 3011 Gulden Lane, Dallas, TX 75212. Entry fees are $39 per participant, with special volume pricing offered for teams of ten or more.

Companies from a wide variety of industries compete together in the Dallas Corporate 5K. From banking and finance to education, first responders, legal, manufacturing, sales, non-profits, utilities and more, businesses from across the region will represent, and can compete against those in their industry. The first-place team in each industry will receive an award. A full list of industries and information about teams is available on the website at runDallas.com. Being a part of a corporate team is not required –
solo business owners and anyone else who wants to participate can be part of the runDallas team, as we all support a great cause together.

All participants receive a T-shirt, a unique finisher item, entertainment and complimentary food and beverage provided by participating Trinity Groves restaurants ten Trinity Groves dollars, allowing guests to sample food from one of Dallas’ most popular dining destinations. On April 1, registration pricing will increase to $49 per participant.

The 2019 Dallas Corporate 5K is proudly supported by: Trinity Groves, Andrews Distributing, Samuel Adams, UCAN and Baylor Scott & White Health.
